Ok so I've beaten the game twice now and I'm still not sure what exactly the boost mechanic does. I know I lose it sometimes and I gain it sometimes but I still don't know why. work on a tutorial or something to better explain that mechanic. the bouncing shots on the other hand were a ton of fun. at first I though that the idea of the enemies bullets deflecting my own was annoying then I realized how it pushed you to get creative with your angles and shots which I love. I think that the bounce mechanic is a great way to mix up typical top down shooter gameplay. as far as visuals go you could do a lot to improve. to start the contrast between the walls and ground needs to be higher. also some general themeing would be cool. I think you have the beginning of a great game here but I think its still a diamond in the rough, which isn't bad, it just means it has a lot of potential. Best of Luck :)

Excellent feedback. Really helps... Glad you liked the bounce shots. Definitely the point. I will look to add power-ups in a future build but they will be gained by some kind of shot trickery (Kind of jumping  to replying  to different feedback, sorry) 

I have to take a look but I have made the post-build too easy in hopes of balance. It might have made it easier to naturally learn the mechanic if more difficult. Either way I will implement some more info/tutorial organically.

Right now you move this keeps the opponents from moving but hard to notice because they can just shoot instead. You can pretty much avoid the enemies and get to the boss without having to disable the enemies shot.. This is done by HOLDING down shoot...If you hold down shoot while moving you will basically freeze the enemies and move freely. Doing this in theory kills your control bar so you can only do it in spurts but not not doing it should (again ideally ) make it  near impossible to get through the level.

This means finding a balance where you can't just move and shoot as much as you would like but need to balance this with being able to "control" the enemy by essentially disabling their ability to move and/or shoot.. As more enemies are added some might be uncontrollable but you would have to find a way to control them maybe with a certain ability / power up.

Nice Mechanic! I was able to go till the end but my partner blocked me off and I can't shoot the boss :( I like the ricochet idea! I used this a lot since the enemy bullets hit mine and deflects it so I needed to shoot at a different angle so it doesn't get deflected.  I found the walls to be a bit too dark compared to the flooring. Would be cool if there are different AI or if there was a bullet power-up (spread shot, rapid shot...)

Your game's really tough! But it was fun traversing the level and trying to figure out how to survive. Nice job :)
